Pretend that someone asked you "What's your book about?" and you had to answer in 2-3 words. Then pretend that person was interested and said "Interesting. I want to do that. Tell me more." You go one level deeper and say "Well, there's basically two or three big parts to do this." Those are parts 1, 2, 3 of your book. Then you break each step into chapters. When the main parts and chapters are done, you want to find two "sexy" things that will help you sell your book. Those are your bonus chapters.

QUESTIONS?

• How long should the book be? - It should be as long as it needs to be to share what you have to share and to have the perceived value that we need to sell it. 20,000 words is a good goal, but it can be shorter too. Sometimes shorter is better.
• Where should I write my book? - Write it in Google Docs.
• Where should I start? - Write an outline of the book (I gave you an example of this above). Take the time to get the outline right before you start writing the actual book.
• How should I structure my chapters? - 1) Describe the problem; 2) Offer the solution; 3) Show proof and evidence that the solution works; 4) Summarize the chapter with actionable steps
• How should I title my book? - It should be clear and concise so it's easy to understand your disruptive idea. "Clear is better than cute or clever"
• How can I get my book done in less than 2 weeks? - 20,000 words / 12 days = 1,667 words per day. When you have your outline you are basically just sitting down and writing. Some days you'll write more than others. Just keep going.
